Anant Nag to receive Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024; PM Modi hails 'richly deserved' honour
Veteran actor Anant Nag, whose career spans five decades and more than 250 films in Kannada and Hindi cinema, will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024. The government announced the honour, the highest in Indian cinema, ahead of the National Film Awards ceremony in Kevadia, Gujarat, on September 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the actor, calling it a 'richly deserved honour'.
