Jana Nayagan Box Office: Vijay's Farewell Film Earns Rs 255.63 Crore Worldwide in First Week

Jana Nayagan, the political actioner starring actor Vijay, has completed its first week in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of Rs 255.63 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 6.10 crore net in India on its seventh day (Wednesday), taking its total India net collection to Rs 149.50 crore and gross to Rs 174.63 crore.

The film, which is widely billed as Vijay's farewell project, opened to strong initial response but has seen a gradual decline in collections over the week. On Day 7, the Tamil version contributed the bulk of earnings with Rs 4.60 crore, followed by Rs 1 crore from the Hindi version and Rs 50 lakh from the Telugu version. This represents a drop from Day 6, when the film collected Rs 8 crore net.

Jana Nayagan was released across 10,359 shows nationwide on Day 7. Occupancy rates were 16.62% in morning shows, rising to 19.23% in the afternoon, peaking at 24.38% in the evening, and settling at 22.77% in night shows. The film also maintained a steady run overseas, collecting Rs 2.50 crore gross on Day 7, bringing its total overseas gross to Rs 81 crore.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, the film features an ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain, and Priyamani. The movie continues its theatrical run with a strong overall performance in its debut week.
