India Shares Verified Gangster Hideouts with US Agencies in Coordinated Crackdown

Indian central agencies have shared and verified with US law enforcement officials a list of gangsters based in the United States and other countries, along with evidence of their activities, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The information was provided through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). These exchanges have intensified over the past month and a half, preceding coordinated actions by authorities in the US, Canada, and Europe.

Cooperation between Indian and US agencies improved significantly after the deportation of gangster Anmol Bishnoi from the US in November last year. Bishnoi is wanted in India as the main plotter in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique.

In recent meetings, Indian agencies are understood to have shared and verified with US counterparts a list of associates of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, along with details of their possible hideouts.
