Seven Dead in Vietnam Bus Fire; Investigation Underway

At least seven people were killed and five others injured when a bus caught fire in southern Vietnam early Tuesday, according to police. The incident occurred as the 24-seat vehicle was travelling from Lam Dong province to Ho Chi Minh City.

The fire quickly engulfed the bus, trapping passengers inside, the police-led Ministry of Public Security said in a statement. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze. State media reported that the bus was carrying passengers on a regular route when the fire broke out.
