Pakistani Drone Sighted Near LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri; Search Operation Underway

Security forces launched a search operation in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday after a suspected Pakistani unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was spotted near the Line of Control (LoC). The drone was observed with blinking lights over the villages of Mahadev Menka and Beripattan late in the evening.

According to defence officials, the UAV briefly entered Indian airspace before turning back towards the Pakistani side. In response, the Indian Army and police cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation at dawn to check for any payloads that might have been dropped.

The search, which involved ground troops and surveillance equipment, concluded without the discovery of any suspicious items. Officials stated that no contraband or weapons were found during the extensive operation.

Such incidents of drone activity along the LoC have been reported in the past, often linked to attempts to smuggle arms and narcotics. The region remains on high alert, with security forces maintaining vigilance to prevent any cross-border infiltration.

The ruling covers temples, NGOs and government agencies where an employer-employee relationship exists, but will not guide challenges to the new Industrial Relations Code.
