NEET-PG 2026 results declared: General cut-off at 262 marks, scorecards from October 10
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) declared the results of NEET-PG 2026 on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The result, which indicates the raw scores obtained by candidates and their NEET-PG 2026 rank, can be viewed on the board's official website, natboard.edu.in.
The board has published the result as a PDF that lists roll numbers along with scores and ranks. Individual scorecards carrying candidate-specific details will be issued separately.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) 2026 was conducted on August 30, 2026, across the country for admission to MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (direct six-year courses) and postgraduate medical diploma courses for the 2026-27 admission session. NEET-PG is the single-window entrance examination for postgraduate medical courses in India, and its scores are used by government and private medical colleges for admissions.
How to check the result
- Go to the website natboard.edu.in.
- In the notifications section on the homepage, click on the notice on the 'Results of NEET-PG 2026' declared.
- The notification contains a link to a PDF with the results. Candidates can check their result against their roll number.
Qualifying cut-off scores
NBEMS has also listed the minimum qualifying scores for each category. These are the marks a candidate must secure to be considered qualified, out of a total of 720:
- General and EWS candidates: 262 marks, corresponding to the 50th percentile.
- General PwBD (persons with benchmark disabilities) candidates: 244 marks, the 45th percentile.
- SC, ST and OBC candidates, including PwBD candidates from these categories: 226 marks, the 40th percentile.
The qualifying percentile is a minimum eligibility requirement. Meeting the cut-off does not by itself guarantee a postgraduate seat, as admission depends on counselling, seat availability and the candidate's rank.
When to download the scorecard
Candidates can download their individual scorecards from natboard.edu.in from October 10, 2026, onwards. NBEMS said the scorecard will be available for download only for six months from the date of issue. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the scorecard safely, as it is required at the time of counselling and admission.
Exam and re-examination
A total of 2,63,544 candidates appeared for the examination on August 30. A re-examination was conducted on September 5 at Jaipur for candidates who could not complete the exam because of a power failure at the test centres. As many as 2,416 candidates wrote the exam on that day.
What happens next
Admissions to postgraduate medical courses are carried out through counselling — conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee for All India Quota seats and by the respective state authorities for state quota seats. Candidates are advised to rely only on official websites for updates on counselling schedules, seat matrix and reservation details, and to treat social media posts with caution unless they are confirmed by NBEMS or the counselling authorities.
