Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: Probe Expands to Four States, Mastermind Hunted
The investigation into the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) question paper leak has expanded beyond state borders. Thane police have dispatched multiple teams to Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to trace the alleged mastermind and dismantle the interstate network behind the racket.
Three accused arrested in the case were produced before a court on Sunday and remanded to police custody until July 6. Police said five persons have been named in the First Information Report (FIR). Two of them—Rajiv Kumar and Aakash Kumar, both residents of Bihar, and Dheeraj Singh from Haryana—have been arrested. Two others, identified as Dahiya and Balinder Singh, both from Haryana, remain absconding. Efforts are underway to verify their exact roles.
The TET is a crucial examination for those seeking teaching positions in Maharashtra schools. The leak has raised concerns about the integrity of the selection process. Police are examining whether the arrested men were part of a larger syndicate that sells leaked question papers. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
