India Names Six Soldiers Killed in Operation Sindoor: Agniveer Among Fallen

The Indian government has officially disclosed the names of six Armed Forces personnel who died in Operation Sindoor in May 2025. This marks the first public release of casualties from the operation.

Among the fallen are five soldiers from the Indian Army and one from the Indian Air Force. They are: Subedar Major Pawan Kumar, Headquarters 10 Infantry Brigade; Rifleman Sunil Kumar, 4th Battalion, Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment; Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar, 5 Field Regiment; Agniveer Mood Muralinaik, 851 Light Regiment; Havildar Sunil Kumar Singh, 237 Field Workshop; and Sergeant Surendra Kumar, 39 Wing, IAF. Most of the Army casualties occurred in Jammu and Kashmir during Operation Sindoor.

The Ministry of Defence paid tribute to the personnel, highlighting their service and sacrifice. The release of names allows families and the nation to honour their memory.
