Income Tax Canteen Attendant Recruitment 2026: 10th Pass Eligible, Salary Up to Rs 56,900
The Income Tax Department has announced recruitment for 7 Canteen Attendant posts in the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region. Selection Process
The department will shortlist 280 candidates for the written examination based on their Class 10 marks. This translates to 40 candidates competing for each vacancy. The written test will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 40 marks. Candidates will have 30 minutes to complete the paper. The syllabus includes English comprehension, Hindi, food and nutrition, mathematics, and hygiene and cleanliness. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
The written examination is scheduled to be held in Bhopal. Candidates who clear the written test will be called for a skill test worth 60 marks. This test evaluates practical abilities in preparing beverages and food, handling and presenting food, and maintaining cleanliness.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 1 under the 7th Pay Commission, with a pay scale of Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900 per month. In addition to the basic pay, employees will receive Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, and other benefits applicable to Central Government employees.
