A meeting on Tuesday at the camp office of Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha in Visakhapatnam resulted in a series of government measures to address the long-standing grievances of farmers affected by the Jindal South West (JSW) project in S. Kota mandal, Vizianagaram district.
The meeting was chaired by Home Minister and district in-charge Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, along with district Minister Kondapalli Srinivas. MLA Lalitha Kumari, MLC Raghuraju, other elected representatives, department officials, JSW company representatives, and affected farmers participated.

Farmers who lost land will receive additional financial assistance of ₹2.5 lakh per acre. Compensation was sanctioned for five individuals in Cheedipalem who were occupants but not in the beneficiary list.
