AMTZ launches RISE HR-Global Forum to boost workforce innovation and skill building
The Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), a major hub for medical technology manufacturing, has launched the RISE HR-Global Forum, a new platform aimed at connecting human resources professionals and fostering workplace innovation. The announcement came during a Leadership and Workplace Culture Dialogue held at the World Trade Center in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
RISE stands for Recruitment, Innovation, Skills and Excellence. The forum is designed to serve as a collaborative space where HR leaders can exchange best practices, discuss emerging workforce trends, and build partnerships for skill development. The event also marked the launch of the Great Place to Work certification for the AMTZ Group of Institutions, a recognition that underscores the organisation's commitment to employee welfare and workplace culture.
Speaking at the event, Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director and Founder-CEO of AMTZ, emphasised that the organisation's growth must remain anchored in its people. “Our focus must be on purpose, contribution, and growth,” he said, adding that the RISE forum will help create an ecosystem where employees are empowered to innovate and excel. His remarks highlight a broader shift in the industry towards people-centric leadership, especially in the fast-growing medtech sector.
The ceremony also featured an exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the RISE HR-Global Forum and CTC Training Resources Pvt. Ltd. The partnership aims to build capacity and enhance skills among professionals, aligning with the forum's core objectives. By bringing together training providers and corporate HR teams, the collaboration is expected to address skill gaps and promote lifelong learning in the workforce.
Vishwanath Joshi, Executive Vice President of Great Place to Work India, delivered a keynote address in which he stressed the importance of creating workplaces where employees feel heard, valued, and trusted. His comments come as organisations across India grapple with challenges related to employee retention, mental well-being, and workplace culture in a post-pandemic scenario.
The event also saw the unveiling of The Atrium, a newly established facility that integrates the International School of Advanced Technology (ISAT), the BRICS Biodesign Centre, and Medi Mold’s Advanced Manufacturing Facility. This convergence of educational and manufacturing capabilities is expected to provide a significant boost to the region's medtech ecosystem, offering students and professionals access to state-of-the-art resources for research and innovation.
The launch of the RISE HR-Global Forum marks another step in AMTZ's mission to become a global hub for medical technology innovation. By prioritising human resource development, the zone is sending a clear signal that technological advancement and workforce well-being go hand in hand. For HR professionals, the forum promises a new avenue for learning and networking, while for the broader industry, it represents a model of how to integrate skill development with corporate growth.
As India continues to position itself as a competitive player in the global medical technology market, initiatives like RISE HR-Global Forum will be crucial in ensuring that the country's workforce remains adaptable and skilled. The forum's focus on innovation and excellence, coupled with its emphasis on people-centric leadership, is likely to resonate across sectors, making it an important development for not just AMTZ, but the wider business community.
