Uttar Pradesh CM Directs Notices to Noida Land Allottees Failing to Invest

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to issue notices with a timeline to individuals and entities that have obtained land from the Noida Authority but failed to make any investments. Speaking at a curtain-raiser ceremony for the fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the Chief Minister warned that if investments are not made within the stipulated period, the government would invite new investors and prepare a fresh land bank.

During the event, Adityanath also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 70 development projects worth Rs 2,479 crore in the Noida and Dadri Assembly constituencies. These projects include the Noida Authority's main administrative building in Sector 96. The Chief Minister emphasised the need for timely execution of projects and accountability among land allottees.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was also present at the ceremony, highlighting the collaborative efforts between the state and central governments in driving infrastructure and economic growth in the region. The UP International Trade Show, set to be held later this year, aims to attract investment and promote Uttar Pradesh as a business destination.

This directive by the Chief Minister comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that land allocated for industrial and commercial purposes leads to actual economic activity. The Noida Authority has been grappling with cases of land hoarding and speculative holding, which have slowed development in the area. The new measures are expected to streamline land use and boost investment.
