Two US Service Members Killed, One Missing After Attack in Jordan, US Military Says
Two US service members were killed and one remains missing after an attack involving ballistic missiles and drones in Jordan on Friday, according to US Central Command (Centcom).
Centcom reported that four US service members were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan and have since been discharged. Others with minor injuries have returned to duty.
Jordan's military earlier stated that it intercepted 10 missiles fired into its airspace overnight, without reporting any damage. The US military attributed the attack to Iranian forces.
The incident marks the latest casualties in the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran. The US military has conducted seven consecutive nights of strikes on Iran since President Donald Trump declared the temporary ceasefire agreement 'over,' according to Centcom.
The deaths come after a US Navy pilot who went missing earlier this month was declared dead, bringing the American death toll in the conflict to 14, per military officials.
