Senior TDP Leaders Miss Steel Plant Inauguration in Kadapa Due to Personal Commitment

The inauguration of the JSW Rayalaseema Steel Plant in Kadapa district on Friday, July 4, 2026, saw the absence of two prominent local leaders: former TDP Polit Bureau member and former district unit President R. Srinivasa Reddy, and his spouse, Kadapa MLA and Government Whip R. Madhavi Reddy.

The couple did not attend the event, which was otherwise well-attended by other party leaders and officials. Mr. Srinivasa Reddy was recently among the aspirants for Rajya Sabha seats that were filled.

According to sources, the couple was out of station on a pre-arranged personal assignment, which prevented their participation.

Their absence did not affect the proceedings of the event, which marked the beginning of the steel plant project aimed at boosting industrial development in the region.
