RSS top brass to meet in Belagavi from Friday to chart future roadmap
The senior leadership of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will gather in Belagavi, Karnataka, for a three-day meeting starting Friday, which is expected to set the organisation's future direction and review its activities.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, and joint general secretaries Krishna Gopal, C.R. Mukunda, Arun Kumar, Ramdatt, Alok Kumar and Atul Limaye will attend the meeting at Sangha Sadan near Kapileshwar Bridge.
The meeting will bring together convenors of all state units, national-level functionaries, regional officials, and representatives from 32 affiliated organisations. Members of the RSS executive council and various department heads (Karya Vibhag Pramukhs) will also participate.
According to sources, the agenda includes concluding the RSS centenary celebrations, expanding urban shakhas—especially among IT professionals, business communities, and working professionals—and preparing for the 2026 training camps. National issues such as the forthcoming census will also be discussed.
Organisational matters related to the RSS and its affiliates will be deliberated, along with a review of ongoing activities. Dr. Bhagwat is expected to stay in Belagavi for a week.
The district administration and police have made extensive security arrangements. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan has imposed a ban on drones and other aerial instruments in areas where the dignitaries will stay, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023.
A 2-kilometre radius around three meeting venues has been declared a “Red Zone” (No-Fly Zone) until July 14. The areas include Belagavi Foundry Cluster, Sant Meera School, Sahyadri Colony, Bhagyanagar Extension, Shri Jagannath Rao Joshi Samadarshana Bhavan, Goodshed Road, and Shastri Nagar. The order prohibits Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), drones, and paragliders over these locations.
Additional civil and reserve police forces have been deployed in the city to ensure security and public safety, according to an official release.
