Pune court cancels land sale deed linked to Parth Pawar's firm, cites lack of approval

A Pune civil court has ordered the cancellation of a sale deed for a land parcel in Mundhwa, involving Amadea Enterprises LLP, a firm in which Rajya Sabha MP Parth Pawar and Digvijay Patil are partners. Parth Pawar is the son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar.

Joint Civil Judge S P Kesatikar–Nalage passed the order on July 3, declaring the sale deed 'void ab initio, inoperative since the beginning and of no legal effect'. The court’s decision was confirmed by Amadea Enterprises’ lawyer, Bhalchandra Nikate.

The land in question, previously a 'mahar watan' (a hereditary land grant), was in the possession of the government and had been leased to the Botanical Survey of India. The sale deed was executed in May this year, allegedly without the mandatory approval of the government, at a significantly lower price and with a waiver of stamp duty.

The court’s ruling highlights the importance of adhering to legal procedures in land transactions involving government property. The cancellation effectively nullifies the transfer, restoring the land’s status to its prior condition.

This case has drawn attention due to the involvement of a high-profile political figure’s family member, but the court’s decision rests solely on the lack of proper authorization and valuation. No further details about possible appeals or subsequent legal actions have been disclosed.
