Singapore, April 5 — A 35-year-old Indian national has been sentenced to six months in prison in Singapore after pleading guilty to molesting a female cabin crew member aboard a Singapore Airlines flight. The incident occurred on February 9 during a flight from Bangkok to Singapore.

According to court documents cited by local media, Akash Tiwari and four friends were seen laughing whenever a female flight attendant walked past them. Before take-off, when the crew member approached the group to confirm meal preferences, Tiwari allegedly stretched out his arm and brushed against her leg. His friends reportedly laughed after the incident.

Tiwari was charged with molesting and harassing the crew member. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment under Singapore's strict laws against such offences. The sentence was handed down by a Singapore court on April 4.

Singapore has stringent laws to protect the safety and dignity of individuals, including airline crew. The conviction serves as a reminder of the serious consequences of such actions.
