Government to Set Up Fast-Track Courts for NEET Paper Leak Trials in Four High Courts

Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced on Thursday that the government will establish fast-track courts to handle trials related to the NEET examination paper leak cases. The fast-track courts will be set up at the High Courts of Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, and Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Meghwal said, “We have taken note of NEET exam leak cases ongoing at the Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, and Madhya Pradesh High Courts. We are setting up fast-track courts at these four courts for speedy trials. In the future, we will do so if any such cases arise.”

The minister added that instructions are being issued to the concerned authorities to implement the decision. The move aims to expedite the legal process in cases that have caused widespread concern among medical aspirants across the country.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the primary medical entrance examination in India. Allegations of paper leaks have led to protests and demands for swift judicial action. The establishment of fast-track courts is expected to ensure timely justice and uphold the integrity of the examination system.
