Delhi YouTuber Arrested for Allegedly Stalking, Harassing Women on Two-Wheelers
The Delhi Police have arrested a 32-year-old YouTube content creator, Gurman Singh, on charges of allegedly stalking and harassing women and minor girls riding two-wheelers, recording the incidents without their consent, and uploading the videos on social media platforms. The arrest was made on Friday by the Cyber Police Station team of the West District.
According to police officials, a case was registered against Singh under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The allegations include risk to public safety, harassment of two-wheeler riders—mostly women and girls—and unauthorised recording and uploading of videos.
Singh's YouTube channel, which has approximately 70,000 subscribers, allegedly featured near-daily uploads following a similar pattern. Police claim that Singh would approach a two-wheeler rider from behind, often hitting the vehicle, then offer an initial apology saying 'Sorry Didi' (sorry sister) before making objectionable comments. The motive, according to investigators, was to increase his social media following.
The case was registered after complaints were filed by victims. The police are continuing their investigation to identify all affected individuals and to determine the full extent of Singh's alleged activities. The accused is currently in police custody.
Authorities have urged other potential victims to come forward and assist in the investigation. The Delhi Police also reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of women and minors in public spaces, and to taking strict action against those who misuse social media platforms to harass or exploit others.
