Congress Stages Protests Over NEET Paper Leak, Demands Minister's Removal

Members of the Indian National Congress staged demonstrations in Tamil Nadu on Friday, condemning the central government over the leak of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) question paper. The leak led to the cancellation of the examination, and protesters also cited controversies surrounding other national exams.

The demonstrators, including leaders from the Tiruchi and Pudukottai districts, accused the government of administrative inefficiency and demanded the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In Tiruchi, a group led by Urban District Congress Committee President L. Rex gathered near the Teppakulam post office, raising slogans against the government. In Pudukottai, the protest was organized by the party's District Congress Committee (North) at Viralimalai, led by its president D.D. Bennett Anthonyraj.

The NEET, a medical entrance exam, was cancelled after the paper leak was discovered, affecting thousands of students. The Congress party has alleged institutional failures in the examination system, calling for accountability from the Union Education Minister.
