The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the date for the Class 12 supplementary examinations for 2026. According to the released date sheet, the examination will be conducted on July 28, 2026, in a single day for all subjects. This is intended for students who were unable to clear one or more subjects in the main board exams or who opted for improvement.
The board has issued the subject-wise schedule along with timings. Most major academic subjects—including English Core, Hindi Core, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Physical Education, History, Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Home Science, Applied Mathematics, and several language papers—will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Vocational subjects such as Food Production, Front Office Operations, Banking, Marketing, Health Care, Insurance, Fashion Studies, and Business Administration will have a slightly adjusted timing of 10:50 AM to 1:30 PM. Meanwhile, subjects like Painting, Hindustani Music Vocal, Hindustani Music Instrumental, Applied Art, Yoga, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Physical Activity Trainer, and Early Childhood Care & Education will be conducted from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Students can download the official date sheet from the CBSE website. The steps are simple: visit the official website, go to the 'Latest Announcements' section, click on the link for 'CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Date Sheet 2026', and save the PDF for reference.
Additionally, CBSE will release the admit cards for the supplementary exams shortly. The board has instructed that no student will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card. The admit card will also mention the exact duration of each paper.
Candidates are reminded that they will be provided 15 minutes of reading time before the start of the examination. This time should be used to read the question paper carefully and plan answers. Students are advised to reach the examination centre well before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
The supplementary exams provide a second opportunity for students to improve their scores or clear failed subjects. This initiative aligns with CBSE's commitment to supporting students' academic progress and reducing stress associated with board examinations.
