Bank of Baroda to recruit 2,482 local bank officers across 20 states
Bank of Baroda has announced the recruitment of 2,482 Local Bank Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-1) on a regular basis. The openings are spread across 20 states and Union Territories, including Karnataka, according to a statement released by the bank on Monday.
Selected candidates will be posted in the state for which they apply for the first 12 years of their service, or until their promotion to the SMGS-IV grade, whichever is earlier. This policy is designed to build a workforce with strong local language proficiency and cultural understanding, which the bank says will deepen customer relationships and strengthen service delivery.
The recruitment initiative aims to align the bank's growth with regional development priorities by creating opportunities for local talent, thereby enhancing its presence in local markets. The bank said this approach will help in better understanding customer needs and providing more tailored services.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the bank's official website until September 7, 2026. Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of September 1, 2026, and should hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Additionally, a minimum of one year's post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank is desired.
Candidates must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the state from which they apply. This requirement underscores the bank's focus on local engagement and accessibility for its customers.
