'Welcome to the Jungle' Nears Rs 130 Crore Globally on Day 6
The film 'Welcome to the Jungle', starring Akshay Kumar, has collected an estimated Rs 129.37 crore worldwide in its first six days, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. On its sixth day (Wednesday), the film earned approximately Rs 6.15 crore net in India, bringing its domestic net collection to Rs 87.65 crore. The film's gross in India has crossed Rs 100 crore, standing at Rs 104.42 crore.
The movie was screened across 9,851 shows nationwide on Day 6, with an overall occupancy of 14.81%. Occupancy was highest during night shows at 18.77%, followed by evening shows at 16.23%, afternoon at 14.54%, and morning at 9.69%.
Director Ahmed Khan stated in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that the film's budget was approximately Rs 125 crore. He claimed that the budget has already been recovered through pre-release sales including digital, satellite, music, and overseas rights. According to Khan, all revenue from theatrical release is now surplus.
The ensemble cast also includes Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, and Urvashi Rautela.
