UAE Extends Grace Period for War-Affected Visa Holders Until July 9
The United Arab Emirates has announced a 30-day grace period for individuals whose visa status was impacted by the recent US-Iran conflict. The extension, from June 10 to July 9, 2026, allows affected persons to regularise their stay or depart without incurring overstay fines.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) stated that this measure applies to those who were previously exempted from fines due to their inability to leave the country during the war. The grace period aims to help individuals comply with UAE laws and continue living or working legally in the country.
Authorities emphasised that this step follows the restoration of regional stability, providing a final opportunity for affected visa holders to correct their status. The ICP urged all eligible individuals to use the period to avoid penalties and ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
