Two youths injured as speeding Mercedes hits them outside Sector 26 club; driver flees

Two young men were seriously injured after a speeding Mercedes allegedly struck them outside a nightclub in Sector 26 on Saturday evening. The driver reportedly fled the scene with the vehicle. Police have identified the driver and said legal action is being initiated.

The injured individuals have been identified as Amjad, a resident of Bapu Dham Colony in Sector 26, and Alliance Preet, a resident of Sector 44. Both were taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

According to preliminary investigations, the two men had visited a nightclub in Sector 26 on Saturday evening. As they exited the club, a speeding Mercedes allegedly hit them. The impact threw both onto the road, causing serious injuries. The driver did not stop after the collision and reportedly fled with the vehicle.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with information to come forward. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and reckless driving in the area.
