Two Arrested in Gurgaon Road Rage Incident After Assault and Vandalism
Two men were arrested on Saturday for allegedly assaulting a commuter and vandalising his vehicle following a dispute over giving way on the main road near Rajiv Chowk in Gurgaon.
The accused, identified as Parth and Paras, both aged 22, are residents of Vipul World in Sector 48, Fazilpur. According to the police, they were arrested after a complaint was filed at the Naharpur Rupa police post.
The complainant stated that while driving from Sohna Road towards Rajiv Chowk, a Scorpio SUV being driven in a reckless and zigzag manner nearly collided with his car. The accused then blocked his vehicle and verbally abused him. Although the victim managed to drive away, the accused intercepted him again near Rajiv Chowk by parking their SUV directly in front of his car, leading to the assault and vandalism.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for assault, criminal intimidation, and mischief. Both accused are currently in custody and are being questioned. Further investigation is underway.
