TNEA 2026 Rank List Now Out on July 1, Grievance Window Announced

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 rank list will be released on July 1, according to Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan. The announcement was made on Tuesday, citing a delay from the previously scheduled date of June 29.

The postponement is due to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declaring its re-evaluation results on June 21, which affected the finalization of the rank list.

Along with the rank list, the counselling dates for engineering admissions will also be announced on July 1. Students who appear in the rank list will be eligible for counselling based on their ranks.

From July 1 to July 5, a grievance redressal period will be provided for students to address any issues with the published rank list. During this time, students can approach the nearest TNEA Facilitation Centres to rectify errors or raise concerns.

The TNEA process is the primary route for admission to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, based on class 12 marks and other criteria. Over 1.5 lakh students are expected to participate this year.
