TG EAPCET 2026 First Phase Allots 79,891 Seats; 8,162 Remain Vacant

The Commissioner of Technical Education released the final seat allotment for the first phase of TG EAPCET 2026 counselling on Friday, following modifications to web options after the mock allotment concluded on July 7.

A total of 79,891 seats, or 90.7% of the 88,053 available seats, were filled across 176 institutions. These include 152 private engineering colleges. The remaining 8,162 seats are vacant after the first phase.

Compared to the mock allotment, 35,402 candidates saw changes in their allotted college or branch. Additionally, 8,691 candidates who exercised options did not receive any allotment.

Under the economically weaker section quota, 6,335 candidates secured seats. A total of 87 colleges, including eight universities and 79 private colleges, achieved 100% admissions in the first phase.

Course-wise, core engineering branches saw full allotment. The highest number of seats—27,990—were filled in computer science and engineering, followed by computer science and engineering with specialisation in artificial intelligence and machine learning (13,732) and electronics and communication engineering (10,593). Twenty-two courses recorded 100% allotment.

Gender-wise, male candidates received 43,784 seats (54.8% of allotments), while female candidates received 36,107 seats (45.2%).

Category-wise, the allotment break-up is as follows: BC-B (16,723), Open Category (16,053), BC-D (14,305), ST (8,012), SC-II (7,778), and others.

Official instructions regarding fee payment and the self-reporting system are available at tgeapcet.nic.in. All payments must be completed by July 14. Candidates are required to report in person at their allotted colleges between July 25 and 28.
