Telangana physiotherapist secures job in Germany with ₹3.5 lakh monthly salary

In a notable instance of overseas employment for Telangana's youth, a physiotherapist from the state has secured a job in Germany with a starting monthly salary of ₹3.5 lakh. The placement was facilitated by the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM), following her completion of a German language course.

P. Aishwaryarani, who sought TOMCOM's assistance to find employment abroad, trained up to the B2 level in German—a mandatory requirement for healthcare professionals aiming to work in Germany. The structured language training, coupled with her professional qualifications, paved the way for her selection in the German healthcare sector.

Labour, Employment, Training & Factories Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy handed over the appointment letter to Aishwaryarani and congratulated her on the achievement. He stated that the Telangana government is committed to expanding overseas employment opportunities by equipping young professionals with the necessary skills and foreign language proficiency. "TOMCOM is playing a crucial role in preparing our youth for global careers," the minister said, pointing to the organisation's integrated approach of skill development, language training, and placement support.

The remuneration offered to Aishwaryarani is expected to increase further after she completes the mandatory professional training and certification requirements in Germany. This initial package, however, underscores the demand for qualified healthcare professionals in European countries, particularly in Germany, which has been addressing shortages in its medical and allied health sectors.

Kanthi Wesley, Director of Employment and Training, also congratulated Aishwaryarani and encouraged other young people in Telangana to avail themselves of TOMCOM's training and placement programmes. TOMCOM, a state-owned entity, has been actively connecting Indian professionals with employers abroad, with a focus on skill verification, pre-departure orientation, and language training tailored to destination countries.

This development highlights a growing trend of Indian healthcare professionals seeking opportunities overseas, driven by competitive salaries and better working conditions.
