Telangana CM alleges BJP forced Pradhan resignation to divert Gen Z pressure on Modi

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) compelled Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign in order to divert public anger, particularly from younger voters demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation.

Speaking during an informal interaction with reporters, Reddy claimed that the Prime Minister's position had come under pressure due to changing sentiments among the younger generation, which he termed 'Gen Z'. He asserted that Pradhan's resignation was not a matter of moral responsibility but a tactical move to dilute the situation.

Reddy described the political developments in New Delhi on Saturday as a setback to Modi's image, calling it the second instance where the Prime Minister was forced to retreat under public pressure. He referenced the earlier withdrawal of three contentious farm laws after prolonged farmer protests as a similar event.

The Chief Minister further alleged that the BJP uses what he called 'NICE' tactics—Narcotics, Income Tax, CBI, and ED—to target political opponents. He said that Gen Z has shown resilience against such tactics and urged Modi to stop using central investigative agencies for political intimidation.

Reddy's statements are part of ongoing political criticism from opposition parties. The BJP has not yet responded to these allegations.
