Tamil Nadu ruling alliance named Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance

The ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)-led post-poll alliance in Tamil Nadu has been officially named the Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance (SSJVA). The announcement was made on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, following the second meeting of partner parties held at the TVK headquarters in Panaiyur, near Chennai.

The alliance comprises the TVK, the Congress, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK). TVK president and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay will serve as the chairperson of the alliance.
