SIT Flags Lapses in Handling Donations at Ayodhya Ram Temple

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing alleged misappropriation of donation funds and valuables at the Ram temple in Ayodhya submitted its preliminary report on Tuesday. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad received the report from Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant.

According to sources, the report highlights lapses, inadequate supervision, and negligence in the maintenance, handling, and counting of donations. It reportedly names individuals involved in the process, including those responsible for counting, banking, and overseeing CCTV footage.

The findings are preliminary, and further investigation is expected. The SIT was formed to examine allegations of financial irregularities in the collection and management of donations at the temple.
