RSS Calls for Strict Action in Ayodhya Temple Donation Theft, Urges Transparency

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed deep concern over the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, urging a thorough investigation and strict punishment for those found guilty. In a statement issued on Friday, RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said the incident has deeply hurt the sentiments of devotees and the Hindu community.

The Uttar Pradesh government, at the request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. Legal proceedings have been initiated based on the SIT's recommendations, according to officials.

The RSS statement emphasized that anyone found guilty should face the severest punishment under the law. It also called on the temple trust to treat the incident as exceptional and take effective measures to address any administrative or management shortcomings. The organisation stressed the need for transparency and proper financial management to maintain the unwavering faith of devotees.

Hosabale claimed that 'anti-Hindu and anti-national forces' are attempting to exploit the incident to malign the Hindu faith. He appealed to the Hindu community to exercise patience and restraint, thwarting such alleged conspiracies.

The RSS expects the trust and the SIT to take all necessary steps to end the current 'state of confusion and uncertainty.' The organisation expressed confidence that with transparent systems and devotion to 'dharmikta' (righteousness), the trust will strengthen the faith of the Hindu society.
