RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to Be Moved to AIIMS Delhi for Blood Pressure Treatment

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will be taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Saturday for further medical treatment, his daughter and RJD MP Misa Bharti confirmed.

Prasad was admitted to Patna's Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) on Friday evening after experiencing fluctuations in his blood pressure. Doctors conducted a detailed examination and later discharged him after his condition stabilised.

Speaking to reporters, Bharti said, "He was admitted to IGIMS following fluctuations in his blood pressure. Doctors conducted a detailed examination and discharged him after his condition stabilised. He will be taken to AIIMS, Delhi, for further medical care on Saturday."

She added that Prasad is currently stable. Doctors have advised that he remain under observation at home before travelling to Delhi, where he regularly receives specialised treatment at AIIMS.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, a former Chief Minister of Bihar and Union Minister, has been undergoing treatment for various age-related ailments. The 76-year-old leader has been convalescing in Patna following a kidney transplant earlier this year.
