Meerut Woman Arrested in Killing of Six-Year-Old Son with Lover

Police in Meerut arrested a woman on Saturday for her alleged involvement in the murder of her six-year-old son, Angadveer, in collusion with her lover, Arpit Parashar, a 28-year-old private bank manager.

According to police, Parashar was arrested on Thursday for luring the boy from outside his home in Ramraj village and killing him by slitting his throat. The boy's mother, Gurpreet Kaur (27), was arrested later for her role in the conspiracy.

Authorities allege that Parashar and Kaur planned the murder because they viewed the child as an obstacle to their relationship, with Parashar intending to marry Kaur. The woman's husband, Gursevak, works as a truck driver in Dubai.

Police launched an investigation and scanned CCTV footage from the neighborhood. In the footage, Angadveer was seen walking to a car and getting inside.
