Lok Sabha to Take Up MSME Amendment Bill on Day 15 of Monsoon Session

New Delhi: The Lok Sabha is scheduled to take up the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026, along with the Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, for consideration and passing on Friday, August 7, according to the Revised List of Business issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

The bills were listed for the 15th day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Jitan Ram Manjhi will move the MSME Development (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to further amend the MSME Development Act, 2006. The bill was earlier passed by the Rajya Sabha.

The second piece of legislation, the Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, is also listed for consideration and passing. The agenda for the day was released on Thursday evening, outlining the government's legislative priorities for the remainder of the session.

On Thursday, August 6, the Lok Sabha passed the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which was moved by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The bill amends the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, the Income-tax Act, 2025, and the Finance Act, 2026.
