Jantar Mantar Protest: CJP Delegation to Meet Ministers Today Over NEET Issue

A delegation of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will meet with government Ministers on Friday, July 24, 2026, according to sources. The meeting is scheduled for 12.30 pm, though the venue has not been disclosed. This follows negotiations to resolve the deadlock over the NEET paper leak, the sources said.

The CJP has been staging a sit-in at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and an overhaul of the education system. The party has stated that the “strictest action” the government could take against examination irregularities would be the removal of Minister Pradhan.

The meeting comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that a bill providing for stringent action against paper leaks would be introduced in Parliament. The CJP reacted, reiterating its demand for the Minister’s resignation.

Separately, activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his indefinite hunger strike after the government assured him that his demands would be met. He broke his 26-day fast on Thursday midnight after Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh met him at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram and conveyed the government’s assurances.
