IRCTC to Launch Beta Version of Revamped Website, Seeks Student Feedback

New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways is preparing to launch the beta version of a redesigned IRCTC website aimed at improving ticket booking speed and user experience. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had announced the upcoming revamp during a visit to Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur last month, stating that the website would be introduced in July 2023.

On Friday, officials from IRCTC and the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) demonstrated the beta version to students at MNIT and sought their feedback before the official rollout. The engagement with students is part of efforts to refine the platform based on user inputs.

The updated website is expected to feature a more intuitive interface and faster transaction processing. However, specific details about the changes or a confirmed launch date have not yet been released by the ministry.
