Delhi BJP protests at AAP HQ, demands Punjab Education Minister’s resignation over exam paper leak allegations
The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office near Mandi House in New Delhi on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The demonstrators demanded the resignation of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains over allegations of exam paper leaks in the state.
The protest was led by Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, along with several party MPs, MLAs, and state office bearers. They gathered near the AAP headquarters on Ferozshah Road, alleging that six exam paper leaks have occurred under the four-and-a-half-year-old AAP government in Punjab. The protesters claimed that these leaks have impacted the future of 30 lakh students.
In response, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has previously stated that no paper leaks have taken place in Punjab under his party's rule. He acknowledged that during one examination at two centres, students attempted to use digital pens to cheat, but they were immediately caught and the paper itself was not leaked.
The protest came shortly after the AAP supported a demonstration by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. That protest led to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak controversy.
