CUET-UG 2026: One Student Achieves 100 Percentile in Four Subjects, Results Streamlined
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. One candidate scored a 100 percentile in four out of five subjects, marking the highest performance in the exam.
According to the NTA, 22 candidates achieved a 100 percentile in three subjects, 180 in two subjects, and 3,214 in one subject.
The examination was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 321 cities, including 13 international locations. A total of 15,68,867 unique candidates registered, with 11,64,098 appearing for the test. Among those who appeared, 5,78,500 were male, 5,85,596 female, and two third-gender candidates.
Category-wise registration data showed 6,86,419 General, 5,28,838 OBC (Non-creamy layer), 1,71,397 SC, 95,464 ST, and 86,749 EWS candidates.
The top female candidate scored 1,232.19 marks, slightly above the top male score of 1,230.82. The second and third highest scores among females were 1,203.78 and 1,202.15, while for males they were 1,207.21 and 1,205.96.
CUET-UG 2026 offered 37 subjects (13 languages, 23 domain-specific, and one General Aptitude Test), with candidates allowed a maximum of five subjects. The exam was held from May 11 to May 31 and June 6 to June 7 for the 2026-27 academic session.
The NTA noted a streamlined result declaration process, with results released within 16 days of the exam completion — 14 days faster than the previous cycle. Results are based on final answer keys vetted by subject experts. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official CUET website using their application number and password.
