Congress reshuffles leadership in key states, appoints new in-charges for UP, Haryana

The Congress party on Friday appointed Rajendra Pal Gautam as the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, replacing Avinash Pande. In Haryana, Sanjay Dutt has been appointed as the new AICC in-charge, succeeding B.K. Hariprasad.

B.K. Hariprasad has been appointed as the new president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, the party said in a statement.

In a separate development, Lalji Desai has been appointed as the AICC in-charge for Odisha, replacing Ajay Kumar Lallu.

The party acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing general secretaries and in-charges. AICC general secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal said in the statement, 'The party appreciates the contributions of the outgoing general secretary/in-charges – Avinash Pande, B.K. Hariprasad and Ajay Kumar Lallu.'

Additionally, the Congress announced the appointment of B.V. Srinivas as the new chief organiser of the Congress Seva Dal, replacing Lalji Desai, with immediate effect.
