Chennai Residents Can Now Self-Enumerate for Census 2027: Here’s How

Greater Chennai Corporation residents can now complete the first stage of Census 2027 through self-enumeration. From July 17 to 31, households can register their details on the official portal at https://se.census.gov.in.

Self-enumeration allows residents to provide their information directly online, reducing the need for enumerators to visit each home. This process is part of the house listing and housing census, which will be carried out by enumerators from August 1 to 30.

Residents who complete self-enumeration will receive a reference number, which they can share with enumerators during the survey. This number helps avoid duplication and speeds up data collection.

The Census 2027 is a crucial exercise for planning and resource allocation in the city. Participation ensures that the government has accurate data for development projects and welfare schemes.

For assistance, the official website provides guidelines and support. Residents are encouraged to complete the process within the set timeframe to ensure smooth enumeration.
