CBSE Class 10 Compartment Exam Results: 59.95% Improve Scores, Overall Pass Rate 96.78%

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for the second edition of the Class 10 board examinations on Saturday. According to the board, 6,63,777 students appeared for the examination, of which 5,13,955 took the test to improve their scores from the main examination.

A total of 3,08,095 students — or 59.95% — improved their performance compared to the main board exam. The overall pass percentage, combining results of the main and second board examinations, stood at 96.78%.

Among students in the compartment category, 1,49,822 took the examination and 78,503 cleared it, resulting in a pass percentage of 52.40%, up from 48.68% in the previous year.

Introduced in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the second board examination provides eligible Class 10 students an additional opportunity to improve their scores. For regular students, the better of the two performances is considered for the final result.

Students can access their results through the DigiLocker Results Portal, while schools will receive digital academic documents via the CBSE repository. Printed marksheets and passing certificates for regular students will be distributed through their respective schools.
