BJP dismisses report of portfolio change offer to Dharmendra Pradhan as baseless

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday dismissed as 'fictional' and 'unfounded' a media report that claimed a portfolio change was offered to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The report, published by a news outlet, suggested that Pradhan was offered a change in his ministerial responsibilities. However, the BJP categorically denied the claim, stating that no such offer was made.

Party spokesperson Sambit Patra said in a statement, 'The report is completely baseless and lacks any factual basis. No portfolio change has been offered to Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. Such speculative stories are irresponsible and should not be given any credence.'

Dharmendra Pradhan currently holds the portfolios of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. He is also the Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha.

The denial comes amid ongoing discussions about cabinet reshuffles, but the BJP has not confirmed any changes. The party urged media outlets to verify facts before publishing such reports.
