Anna Hazare demands Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation amid NEET paper leak protests

The activist Anna Hazare, who observed a silent fast in Ahilyanagar on Thursday, supported the demand for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation following the NEET paper leak controversy. Hazare stated, 'He should resign,' echoing the sentiments of protesting students.

The protests, which began after the NEET paper leak was uncovered, have seen thousands of students demanding accountability. Clashes erupted at some venues, leading to injuries among protesters. Police have registered First Information Reports against unidentified individuals under charges of rioting and damage to public property.

At the protest site, Hazare was visibly moved while viewing posters created by students outlining their demands. Videos of the moment were widely circulated on social media platforms.

The NEET paper leak, which came to light earlier this month, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for a high-level investigation. Students have been demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing his responsibility for the integrity of the examination system.

Hazare's involvement brings renewed attention to the issue, as the veteran activist has a history of leading social movements. His support is expected to amplify the students' demands for a transparent investigation and systemic reforms.

Authorities are yet to comment on the resignation demand, while investigations into the leak continue.
