Alpha Box Office Day 4: Film Collects Rs 3.85 Crore, Registers 70% Drop from Sunday
The film Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, earned an estimated Rs 3.85 crore net in India on its fourth day (Monday), according to trade tracker Sacnilk. This marks a sharp decline of over 70.9% from Sunday's collection, reflecting a typical weekday slowdown after the opening weekend.
The film had opened on Friday with around Rs 9 crore, grew by about 25% on Saturday to Rs 11.50 crore, and closed its opening weekend at approximately Rs 34 crore net in India. Monday's earnings bring the total India net collection to Rs 37.85 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 45.34 crore. Worldwide, the film has earned Rs 63.64 crore.
Alpha is the seventh film in the Yash Raj Films Spy Universe and the first in the franchise led by women. It features Alia Bhatt as Sita, a covert operative trained by Lt Col Fateh Singh (Bobby Deol), and Sharvari as Durga, a tactical operative. The story follows Sita as she discovers a secret about her past and goes rogue. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail, who earlier directed The Railway Men.
The film released alongside the ongoing run of Welcome To The Jungle, which drew some screens away. The weekday trend will determine the shape of its first-week total. No further box office updates are available at this time.
