Water Supply Cut at Jantar Mantar: CJP Founder Appeals for Immediate Restoration
New Delhi: Protesters at Jantar Mantar have spent a second consecutive night at the site, as Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Civil Justice Party (CJP), appealed to authorities to restore water supply to the area immediately.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Dipke said, “The water supply has been cut off, causing immense hardship to the protesters. This is a basic necessity. I urge the concerned authorities to restore it without delay.”
The protest, which began earlier this week, has seen a steady gathering of demonstrators. However, the specific demands of the protesters have not been disclosed in available reports. The group has been camping at Jantar Mantar, a designated protest site in central Delhi.
Officials from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have not yet commented on the reason for the water supply disruption. Attempts to reach them for a response were unsuccessful.
The situation remains peaceful, with no reports of any untoward incidents. Police personnel are present at the venue to maintain order.
This is a developing story. More details are awaited.
