VHP calls for FIR in Ayodhya Ram Temple donation irregularities case

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded that a First Information Report (FIR) be filed in connection with alleged misappropriation of funds and valuables donated at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This comes a day after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) submitted a preliminary report to the Uttar Pradesh government.

On Wednesday, VHP international president Alok Kumar said, 'Based on the news that appeared in the media about extracts from the SIT report, it can be said that there are enough grounds to file an FIR in the matter.' The VHP has also postponed its annual management committee meeting, which was scheduled to begin in Ayodhya on Wednesday, citing 'inevitable circumstances.'

The Uttar Pradesh government has stated that the SIT will continue its investigation and submit a complete report after 15 days. The controversy surrounds donations made by devotees for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, with allegations that some funds and valuables were misappropriated.
