An unverified report circulating online claims that Anthropic, the AI safety company, will change access plans for its consumer AI model, Claude Fable 5, starting July 20. The report suggests that Claude Max and Team Premium subscribers will retain access but with a sharply reduced usage limit of 50 per cent, while Pro and Team Standard subscribers will lose access under paid plans and must pay API prices to continue using the model. They would receive a one-time US$100 usage credit, which the report says is not expected to last long.

The report also mentions that Anthropic restored access to Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 after the United States lifted export controls, though these model names do not correspond to any known Anthropic products as of now.
