Tirumala Temple Sets New Records: Over 25 Lakh Pilgrims and ₹126 Crore Offerings in June

The temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala has registered its highest-ever monthly pilgrim footfalls in June, with more than 25 lakh devotees visiting the hill shrine during the 30-day period. The previous record was set in May, when the temple recorded a daily average of around 82,000 devotees.

The temple witnessed an average daily footfall of nearly 84,000 pilgrims in June, surpassing the previous month's figures. This surge in pilgrim inflow was mirrored in the offerings made at the temple's hundi (donation box), which recorded a collection of ₹126 crore during June, setting another significant milestone.

The temple also achieved a landmark in the distribution of its famed laddu prasadam. More than 1.19 crore laddus were sold during the month. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the temple, attributed the increase to improved facilities and pilgrimage schemes.

The temple, located in Andhra Pradesh, is one of the most visited religious sites in the world. The record footfalls come during the off-peak season, indicating sustained devotion and improved accessibility for pilgrims.
